It is near the airport (4 km), and halfway from the latter and Ambodifotatra, the "Main city", on the West coast of the island of Sainte Marie, that Jean-Jacques and Joelle Ravello decided to set foot in 1982 to open the "LAKANA" with only 03 bungalows in 1985...
	From a simple substructure when created, the hotel evolved throughout the years into a comfortable and well settled establishment, not to forget its capacity.
At this time, the hotel accounts 16 bungalows build in natural materials in order to keep the wild characteristics and integrity of this beautiful site known as "the garden island", Sainte Marie
